The short version

Yes

You can

Learn, practise and teach with every lesson. Reuse the short code examples in your own projects, personal or commercial, without credit. Link to any page.

No

Please do not

Republish the lesson text, diagrams, the Finch character or the site design as your own, or copy them into another course or website.

Using the lessons

You may use PlainFinch to learn, to teach and to practise, at home, at school or at work. Teachers may use lessons in class and send students to them. You do not need to ask.

The code you write

The code you write in the editors is yours. It stays in your browser unless you share it with a link.

Code examples in the lessons

You may copy the short code examples from the lessons into your own projects, personal or commercial, without credit. They are there to be used.

Lesson text, diagrams and design

The written lessons, diagrams, illustrations, the Finch character and the site design belong to PlainFinch. Please do not republish them or copy them into another course or website. Quoting a sentence or two with a link back is fine. Linking to any page is always welcome.

No guarantees

The lessons are written and tested with care, but PlainFinch is provided as it is, without any warranty. Check anything important before you rely on it, especially security advice and anything you put on a live website. PlainFinch is not responsible for how you use what you learn.

Changes and contact

These terms may be updated from time to time, and the version on this page is the current one. Questions are welcome at hello [at] plainfinch.com.
